Bennett Disser

Chef Bennett Disser, Chef de Cuisine at Commission Row, hails from the East Side of Indianapolis and comes from a long line of service industry workers. While most of his family worked in front-of-house roles, Chef Bennett charted his own path in the kitchen, drawn to the joy of cooking for others. His passion was sparked by childhood memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings, where the food spread brought immense happiness to his family.

His culinary journey began at the Tie-Dye Grill, an East Side staple, and since then, he’s worked in a variety of roles across big chains and steakhouses. One of his most formative experiences was living in northern Mississippi, where he learned invaluable lessons from his mentors, which continue to influence his work today.

Inspired by the exploration of different regional cuisines, other chefs, and culinary icons, Chef Bennett’s menus reflect a constant drive for innovation. He also boasts an impressive collection of chili cookoff awards.

Outside the kitchen, Chef Bennett enjoys spending quality time with his family as a full-time girl dad.
